Ascend Practice Management, formerly known as HMS Midwest, announced its new name today, chosen to more accurately reflect the type of business they provide to the healthcare community. The change also aims to shift the perception that they only work in the Midwest region of the US and that Ascend Practice Management does work with healthcare providers of all specialty types in most US States.
Since its founding in 1996, Ascend Practice Management has been dedicated to helping medical practices be financially strong and efficiently managed; with the primary goal of handling most management tasks so that the provider is back in the clinical seat to take care of their patients
and eliminating administrative headaches. This rebranding, reaffirms the company’s commitment to supporting practice owners in their demanding roles as both business owners and healthcare providers.
While the name may be changing, the same owners and team members will continue to provide exceptional service to healthcare practices across the nation. Tracy Freeze, previously the President, will now hold the title of Chief Executive Officer, and Jeffrey Freeze, previously the VP of Operations, will now be the Chief Operating Officer.
As part of the rebranding effort, Ascend Practice Management will be relocating its offices from Chesterton, IN to Portage, IN. The company’s new branding will roll out in the second quarter of 2023, with a new logo and website that reflect the company’s new name and nationwide reach.
“We are excited to announce this change and to continue our mission of providing practice management solutions to independent practice owners.” said Tracy Freeze, CEO of Ascend Practice Management. “Our new name better reflects what we do and our commitment to serving healthcare providers throughout the country to ascend to new heights”
